Nexon's blockchain-powered MMORPG MapleStory N is taking aggressive measures against a surge of hackers and bots following its May launch. Nexpace, the developer's Web3 division, reports banning thousands of compromised accounts daily to preserve gameplay integrity.

The stakes are particularly high for crypto-integrated games, where exploits directly impact token economies. Players have documented bots flooding farming lobbies and hackers manipulating skill multipliers—including one instance where an under-equipped cheater solo-defeated an endgame boss, exposing what the community calls "game-breaking flaws."
